New Cafe 42

A new monthly drop in service will provide people with an opportunity to speak to experienced professionals from a range of backgrounds about illness, dying, death and bereavement.

Café42 is a joint venture between NHS Highland Chaplaincy, Connecting Carers and other agencies such as Befrienders Highland.

The first session will be held at the Mac Café, part of the Mackenzie Centre in Inverness in December.

NHS Highland’s community development officer Kate MacLean said: “Café42 will provide a platform for people to talk about their feelings around illness, dying, death and bereavement in a comfortable, private, accessible setting.

“It is a monthly drop-in with no agenda or expectations and we will have a number of experienced professionals and volunteers on hand to listen and provide advice on a confidential basis.

“The first event will be on Friday, December 15th and we will run it on a monthly basis. Carers are welcome and refreshments will be available.”

Café42 will be held on Friday, 15th December 2017 between 12pm-2pm at the Mackenzie Centre’s Mac Café on Culduthel Road, Inverness.
